Want to become an "articles master"?
This two-lesson (six-hour) short course is intended for pre-intermediate to upper-intermediate level students who want to improve their English accuracy. In each lesson, you will review rules for using articles and will practise applying these rules in both spoken and written communication. Your teacher will focus on correcting your articles mistakes in a fun and communicative learning environment.
All you need is a quiet space, a good internet connection and a laptop or pc.
By the end of the course you will:
- be more aware of a number of key rules for article use.
- have practised accurately using articles in both speaking and writing.
- be more able to apply these rules in future speaking and writing and correct your own mistakes.

Session 1
- Initial test.
- Basic rules for using a/an and the.
- Written and spoken practice.
Session 2
- Using the with adjectives and when there is only one of something.
- Written and spoken practice.
Session 3
- Using the or zero article to talk about things in particular or general.
- Written and spoken practice.
Session 4
- Special uses of articles in set phrases and with geographical names.
- Written and spoken practice.
- End of course test.
