The British Council Education team in Japan will host a special careers seminar and year-end social gathering for registered members of the British Council Alumni UK, a global network for people from around the world who have studied in or with the UK as an overseas student. If you are an UK Alumni but not yet registered on Alumni UK, register now to join us for this event. It is a great opportunity to learn new skills for developing your career, and to meet other UK Alumni in Japan.

The 45-minute masterclass will be delivered in partnership with City CV, an international career consultancy. This part of the event will be delivered online (Zoom) as well as in person (in Tokyo), so that UK Alumni from across Japan and around the world can join. Victoria McLean, CEO of City CV and Hanover Talent Solutions, will lead the masterclass, in which we will explore different leadership styles and understand the benefits and drawbacks of each approach, as well as practical conflict resolution strategies to improve your team's dynamics and productivity. We will then look at how to apply those leadership principles to all areas of your life. Victoria is an international keynote speaker, a career industry expert and award-winning Executive CV writer and coach, who has helped over 30,000 candidates secure their dream role.

For participants joining in person at the venue in Tokyo, there will be time to reflect and share insights with other participants after the seminar. Following the seminar, we will hold a year-end social gathering. This will be the last Alumni UK event (in Japan) of 2024, and we hope to have many UK Alumni join us!
