Children can become lifelong lovers and users of English through being introduced to English through picture books. However, many non-native speaker parents lack confidence to read to their children in English.
In this workshop you will find how picture books can stimulate your child’s development in English. You will be introduced to ways to read effectively and confidently to your child and how to talk about books in English. A range of picture books useful for reading with young children will introduced, and you’ll find out where on the web you can go to continued support with reading. The purpose of this workshop is to help parents read to develop children’s English. Literacy for children will be topic of future workshops.
