Children can become lifelong lovers and users of English through being introduced to English through picture books. However, many non-native speaker parents lack confidence to read to their children in English. While we have more time to stay home now, this is a great chance to learn how to improve your children’s reading experience!
In this workshop you will find how picture books can stimulate your child’s development in English. You will be introduced to ways to read effectively and confidently to your child and how to talk about books in English. A range of picture books useful for reading with young children will be introduced, and you’ll find out where on the web you can go to continued support with reading. The purpose of this workshop is to help parents read stories to their children to develop the child’s English. At the end of the workshop, we will have a short introduction for the Primary Plus Online.
