UK in JAPAN was launched in September 2019 to coincide with the Rugby World Cup and features a series of events in business, arts and education. The programme presents areas of UK creativity and innovation and seeks to build closer relationships between the UK and Japan through networking and knowledge sharing. In the context of crisis, we work to find solutions together and draw strength from each other. Following a pause in the programme due to Covid-19, we will resume an exciting range of activities in September and run it through to 2021, focusing on how the UK and Japan can support a sustainable global recovery.
Arts
Japan and the UK have built a longstanding, mutually beneficial cultural relationship. We will share our vibrant and diverse creative assets with each other and forge new partnerships focusing on the growing contribution the arts and creative industries play in driving prosperity and in enhancing well-being, diversity and inclusion.
Education
Learning a language and studying and living in other countries can change lives for the better. Through an exciting education program, we will create opportunities for young people to realise their potential and to make a positive contribution to the world as global citizens.
