The Philharmonia Sessions is a series of critically acclaimed free, pre-recorded digital performances, conceived and created especially for an online audience.

In this concert, the Philharmonia play the complete music for Beethoven’s ballet The Creatures of Prometheus Op. 43 (complete ballet, 1801), one of his most popular works throughout his lifetime. Principal Conductor Esa-Pekka Salonen is joined by Beethoven superfan Stephen Fry. He retells the myth, and the story of the ballet, in a new script by Gerard McBurney, with whimsical animation by Hillary Leben.
