UK choreographer Matthew Bourne’s dance adaptation of the legendary classic film The Red Shoes, based on the Andersen fairy tale, is coming to screens in Japan for the first time.
Set in the theatrical world of a touring dance ballet company, the stage follows the story of Victoria, a young girl who dreams to become the greatest dancer in the world, and two men who are drawn by her talent and passion. Torn between love and success as a greatest artist, what is the fate that awaits Victoria? The legendary classic is vividly revived to the romantic music of composer Bernard Herrmann.
