Artist Jess Thom speaking in front of a camera
Date
Wednesday 18 November 2020 to Tuesday 24 November 2020

Jess Thom is a UK artist who turns her own Tourette's syndrome (a type of tic) into a source of imaginative creativity. Also known as Touretteshero, she performed an adaptation of Samuel Beckett's Not I at the Unlimited Festival, a showcase of the artistic vision and creativity of disabled artists, to critical acclaim. In Yokohama Paratriennale 2020, a documentary film Me, My Mouth and I, capturing Jess Thom's creative process in the production of Not I, will be screened for the first time in Japan. To celebrate this, Jess Thom and Touretteshero co-founder Matthew Pontney will answer questions in an online talk event on Saturday, 21 November 2020.
